General Information:
Valerie graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology in May 2021. She graduated with a Masters in Biological Sciences in May of 2023. She currently serves in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Testimony:
I grew up in a home with Christian parents, and grew up believing in God, but I did not know the gospel and would have called myself a Christian simply because my parents called themselves Christians. One day, my dad sat me down and explained the central message of the Bible to me, and it was the first time I truly heard the gospel. At that point, I knew the consequence of not knowing Christ as my Lord and Savior, and knew that the only way to God was a personal relationship with Christ. Shortly after that conversation, God was gracious to convict me of my sins and I repented and trusted fully in Christ for the first time, and since then God has been faithful to grow and mature me as a Christian. After I became a Christian, I did not receive much guidance throughout high school, and did not see much growth as a Christian. When I got to college, I met a woman working on staff for Campus Outreach and she had a tremendous impact on my life and my walk as a Christian, so I want to impact other college students in the way she impacted my life.
