summer mountain project ‘24

May 23 - July 27

TRAININGS

On the Summer Project, students receive over 60 hours of formal training. We cover broader topics like Bible study, Evangelism, and world mission and very practical topics like stewardship of time, budgeting, and the balance of work and rest. Each of these trainings are focused on helping students live based on the Biblical teachings God has given us in His word.

WORK EXPERIENCE

All students are guaranteed a full-time job at Dollywood Theme Park or other local businesses.

Some students also have the opportunity to get an internship in/around Pigeon Forge in order to meet special school requirements. Internships must be approved by the project director well in advance of the Summer Mountain Project.

GROWTH & NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Over the 9 weeks students will grow in Christ, learn to share their faith, build deep relationships, and work.  As students are given these opportunities, they will also grow in responsibility, dependability, leadership, team work, relational skills, time management, money management, and many other areas through the various trainings offered on the Summer Mountain Project.

Also, living with 50+ college students, working with dozens of new people, and attending a church is a great way to build valuable relationships for the future.

SUPPORT OUR 2024 SMP PARTICIPANTS

The price of the Summer Mountain Project is $1999 for Participants and Room Leaders. The Team Leaders can raise up to $7000. One way to help pay for the Project is through the financial support of family and friends who want to be a part of their student’s experience of the summer. SAFETY & OUT OF TOWN REQUESTS

There are rules in place on the project to ensure the safety of the students. Students live together and most activities are done in groups - either at the hotel, work, or church. All out-of-town trips must be approved before the summer by the Summer Project Director. Click the button below for out of town trip requests.
